Director of Research / Senior Moderator
Ingrid has a deep passion for qualitative research and the power of story to move organizations forward. She loves serving as a voice for consumers, gathering their experiences and translating them into insights that help clients make smarter, more human decisions. With a passion for creative approaches, she draws on decades of experience to craft research that’s both rigorous and revealing, leveraging emerging technologies and AI to meet consumers where they are and provide insight options at the pace of modern business. She believes the best research balances discipline with imagination, structure with spark, analysis with intuition.
Among Ingrid’s favorite engagements are “before and after” studies where research directly informs transformative change. She is energized by projects that improve products, refine services, or strengthen systems: work that benefits both the organization and the people it serves. Like a metalsmith working with fire, she is comfortable applying heat and pressure to complex questions, shaping raw narratives into something durable, precise, and meaningful.
Before joining InsideOut Insights in 2017, Ingrid was Vice President of Research at a full-service market research agency. She was drawn to IOI nearly a decade ago to focus more deeply on qualitative work, where listening closely to people’s stories is at the heart of the process. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut.
She lives in lovely western Massachusetts (the side of the state that isn’t Boston) and has two great kids. She enjoys doing metalsmithing and dance fitness in her free time. She is a total sucker for a movie or a book with an unreliable narrator. She could eat Thai food 24-7. Her favorite place in the world is anyplace she’s getting to discover for the first time. Her favorite word is “possibility.”
